How many days till spring?
This winter stuff is getting to be a bit much. Yesterday morning they said we may get about an inch. Ahem get out your rulers, it was more like 6.
I had my heart and mind set on going to church last night because I needed the confidence to know that I could get out of the house with the crutches as well as get some sort of footwear on so that I would be able to go to work on Monday. Success! But it was a bit scary on the roads.
I hope Mother nature goes into menopause soon. We sure could use a hot flash!

Rough work day...
I have never been written up or had an employee warning in my life. Yesterday I almost had 2 in one day
One was totally my fault...I left my access badge (same as keys to the building) laying out on my desk when I went home the night before. So anyone could have picked it up and went anywhere. I have a high level of access. Thankfully I do have a very good friend there who understands the OFD (over 40 disease) and he understood that it was not deliberate and that I understand the seriousness of the action. Won't do it again (I hope). I'm sure he wouldn't be as understanding next time.
The second issue was in the afternoon when I was getting my body parts chewed for being $204,000 over budget. My reply "what budget, no one ever told me I had a budget". Well it was something they just created and found I was over it. I politely told them they were idiots (not using those exact words) and sited many reasons why I refuse to be held responsible for that. I was surprised that it was well received and I was able to walk out of there proudly rather than written up. What a day!
Of course, this now means adding lots more work to my already crammed day to prove that other people are buying stuff and putting it in my budget. The task: how do I control people located all over the state.

What a night :(
I had a dream that Robin died. I woke up feeling really sad and realized that was awhile ago and everything will be fine because she is well and happy now. Then I went back to bed and had another dream with the same subject.
I need to work on happy dreams.

God is Good All The Time...
It was a year ago that I was getting ready for work and I read leftoverpenguin's xanga site letting us know that Robin began her eternity in Heaven. God's blessing to all as we wait for that day.

Still here...
I know my nearest and dearest friends here on xanga are really no longer here. Lives have changed and people have moved on...mostly to facebook. Although I love facebook it just isn't the same as our daily blogs. I loved that time in my life. It was a lot of fun and a great time to really get to know some of my best friends here on xanga.
I'm sure we'll reach this point on facebook too. One thing I learned at college, everything has a life cycle.
